There are many heritage that Western individuals know about Tionghoa culture and also the Chinese New Year. The Chinese New Year is distinguished annually in January or February, according to the lunar calendar.
Many people compare the Oriental New Year to Xmas in western tradition. Just as most western children obtain presents for Xmas, Chinese kids obtain decorated red envelopes with money within as their gift from family and near friends. These inexpensive envelopes are sold generally stores and also have special writing and pictures on them for the Chinese New Year.
