Depending on the individual or spiritual scholar, Confucian is referred to as a way of life and by other people a religious beliefs. Most understand it as being a type of humanism that is all-encompassing that neither of them denies nor tries to prove there is (or is not) a heaven.
In any situation it's had an influence on the political and spiritual arena of China and moreover dispersed to nations such as Japan, Vietnam, and Korea. The percentage of East Asians who determine on their own as Taoists, Buddhists, Muslim, Christian, or Shintoists, by no means depart their Confucian roots, and consider on their own to become of both faiths.
